WHAT WE DO
 
 
Whether you are a Show Jumper, Dressage Diva, Showing Sensation or Handy Pony Crazy we have something for everyone and promise a fun filled day for all the family to enjoy! So, if you want to become part of your friendly local riding club then pop down and join the fun.  
 
From all the committee at Team CKRC - we can't wait to see you there.
  1. Showing in Hand
    In hand showing involves showing the horse or pony in walk and trot whilst being led and gives you the opportunity to show the judge how well your horse or pony looks and moves
  2. Dressage
    Dressage involves horse or pony and rider performing a series of predetermined movements, known as 'figures' or “movements” in an arena of 20x40m.It is your opportunity to show the judge how well you can perform set moves you have practised
  3. Ridden Showing
    Ridden showing involves showing the judge you riding your horse or pony in walk, trot and canter (only walk and trot for lead rein). It gives you the opportunity to show the judge how well you can ride and your horse or pony's way of going forward
  4. Novelty Classes
    Novelty classes involve in hand showing in a relaxed and fun way and give you the opportunity to show the judge how pretty your pony is or how well you handle him or her
  5. Handy Pony
    Handy pony involves you riding your horse or pony round a short course of obstacles and gives you the opportunity to show the judge how well behaved your horse or pony is
  6. Show Jumping
    Show jumping involves riding your horse or pony over a course of fences or other obstacles in a arena with penalty points for errors. We have two show jumping rings; a main ring and also a novice ring where our younger or less experienced riders can also try show jumping
  7. Gymkhana
    Gymkhana involves competitive games on horseback. Competitors are split into ages groups, Tiny Tots, Lead Rein, A group, B group, C group and Open. Gymkhana features five different games each show with competitors in each group racing against each other. Tiny tots features just three games
